SEAM maintains three bodies of work that document themselves: a notation for electroacoustic block diagrams, a set of Faust DSP libraries, and a suite of VST3 plugins. They are separate repositories, but they describe the same practice — and where they overlap, the pages cross-reference each other.
Faust Libraries
DSP libraries for sustained electroacoustic music: filters, reverberation, ambisonics, analysis.
Every function is documented at the source, in the .lib files themselves, and the reference below is generated from them.
SEAN — Sustained ElectroAcoustic Notation
A TikZ library for writing electroacoustic block diagrams as scores, transcribed from Walter Branchi’s Tecnologie della musica elettronica (1976) and extended to contemporary use. The reference shows every sign as drawn by each font, side by side, with the inheritance made explicit.
SEAM-LTM — Learning Through Making
Sixteen VST3 plugins built directly on the Steinberg SDK: format converters, signal generators, and measurement tools. Several are the C++ counterpart of an algorithm that also lives in the Faust libraries.
